It has been said by many that Attorney Frank J. Bolock, Jr. is “No Ordinary Lawyer”! The reason for this particular distinction and reputation are many. Attorney Bolock learned the values of hard work, dedication, toughness and fairness from his hard working blue collar upbringing in West Scranton, Pennsylvania. He learned these valuable lessons from his parents Frank, Sr., and Pauline and his brothers and extended family, teachers, neighbors and people throughout the community and these lessons have been the foundation for his professional and personal success. Attorney Bolock has had the benefit of a solid education through the Scranton School District and is a 1972 graduate of West Scranton High School where he excelled in athletics and academics and was very involved in student government and other extra-curricular activities. Attorney Bolock graduated from the University of Scranton where he received a superlative Jesuit education which paved the way for his admission into the Duquesne University of Law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout his education, Attorney Bolock worked his way through both college and law school working on the loading docks of Harper and Row book publishers and Roadway Transportation among other employment. For over 30 years Attorney Frank J. Bolock, Jr. has practiced civil and criminal law throughout Pennsylvania. Through his offices in Scranton, Clarks Summit, Dunmore and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania Attorney Bolock has provided superlative representation to individuals, businesses and institutions. Attorney Bolock has been an integral part of the economic community development throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania through his private practice, governmental representation and community involvement. Attorney Bolock has earned a reputation among his clients, the community, the Judges and his peers for honesty, integrity and high quality legal representation. He has consistently received the highest peer review rating through LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell indicative of high to very high legal ability and the highest ethics. Attorney Bolock has served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted a wide variety of criminal cases ranging from homicide to a wide variety of felony and misdemeanor crimes, compiling an outstanding record of success as a prosecutor. Following several years as an Assistant District Attorney, Attorney Bolock began his criminal defense practice that continues today throughout the Pennsylvania and Federal Court Systems. Additionally, Bolock serves as the Special Advocate for Lackawanna County focusing on Treatment Court and Behavioral Health Matters. Throughout the course of his practice, Attorney Bolock has had the privilege of engaging in practice arrangements as associate, affiliate or partner with some of the region’s most preeminent lawyers including Attorney Brain J. Cali, Robert Cecchini, David Miller and he has maintained offices in Scranton, Clarks Summit, West Scranton, Dunmore and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Attorney Bolock was one of the founders of the Elder Law Project of Lackawanna County which continues to provide legal representation to senior citizens of Lackawanna County through the Area Agency on Aging. Attorney Bolock serves as an Assistant Lackawanna County Solicitor and has held numerous Solicitorships for Municipalities throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania and served as General Counsel to the State Board of Funeral Directors. Bolock served for almost ten years as Solicitor for the City of Scranton where he was also appointed Deputy Mayor by the Honorable James P. Connors, Mayor of the City of Scranton.
